Curious about what’s new in Convertful? You’re in the right place. In this update, we’re excited to walk you through the latest features and improvements we’ve rolled out.
Before we dive in, here’s a quick reminder of several features we released over the past few months:
- We launched a Shopify app designed to help you turn store visitors into loyal customers.
- We introduced Recurring Limited Events for holiday and seasonal campaigns.
- We released Hosted Widgets, which allow you to host your widgets directly on Convertful.
- We launched a new affiliate program.
Alright, now let’s dive into the latest features and improvements.
Sound Effects
Good news! You can now add a sound effect to your widgets.
Simply open your widget’s display rules and enable the “Sound Effect” option. You can choose from a dozen different sound effects, which will play when the widget displays to your visitors.
Please note: due to browser autoplay policies (such as Chrome’s autoplay policy), sound may only play automatically after the user has interacted with the page.
New “Show Only If” Options
We’ve added several new “Show Only If” options in the display rules:
- Every X of the month
- Weekly on
- Monthly on
- Annually on
This means you can now show your widgets every 7th of the month, every Tuesday, every first Friday of the month, or every April 1st, automatically.
This gives you much more flexibility when planning recurring promotions, content announcements, limited-time offers, and seasonal campaigns, all without having to manually adjust dates each time.
Country Names & Flags
We’ve added two new shortcodes to the widget builder:
- country_name
- country_flag
The idea is simple: personalize your widgets by displaying each visitor’s country.
If your website attracts a significant number of international visitors, you can instantly create a more engaging and memorable experience by incorporating their country’s name directly into your widgets.
Affiliate Link in “Powered by” Text
As previously mentioned, we recently launched a new affiliate program. If you haven’t signed up yet and are interested in promoting Convertful, be sure to join.
You can now add your affiliate ID to your Convertful profile page and automatically include your affiliate link in the “Powered by” text on your widgets, if you choose to display it.
This can help you generate affiliate sales without any extra effort by leveraging the visibility your widgets already get on your website.
